Wat Hin Thaen Lam Pha Chee 
Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand


           Wat Hin Thaen Lam Pha Chee is located on Baan Hin Thaen, Nhong Phai, Daan Makham Tie, Kanchanaburi province. It was assumed to be built in 2481, BE. Luang Phor Somkit, the abbot of the place, claimed that the idea of constructing a glass church on a swan boat came from Phra Kru Mahaputthapirak’s omen. All Somde-Toh’s believer donated more than 100 million baht to build this temple.

 
Wat Hin Thaen Lam Pha Chee

           To explain the meaning of the glass church on the swan boat, the white color of the church means the white glass, which implies to the great favor of Buddha that shines all over the universe. The swan means leading human to get over a cycle of life and to reach Buddhist landscape.

 
Ananta Nagaraj Rasami boats

           Also, there are Ananta Nagaraj Rasami boats pressing on both sides of the church. Luang Phor Sothorn, Luang Phor Wat Baan Laem and Luang Phor Wat Rai Khing images are outstandingly enshrined in front of the church and there are also many sacred images on the back side.


Phra Phuttha Rattana Muni

           For the inside, you will find Phra Phuttha Rattana Muni Sothorn image, which is the principle Buddha image in the temple, 28 imitated Buddha images and 80 Arahats images.

           Moreover, there also are Luang Phor Tan Jai and Luang Phor Si La images for people to pay a respect. In the past, Luang Phor Tan Jai was installed outside. Anyway, everyone, who came to pay a respect, has kept on achieving their wishes, and the viharn was built to cover the image afterwards.
